Jesslyn:

My name is Jesslyn and I am the mother of Ooi Carr Mern who is now 12 years old. When she was 5 years old, I enrolled her in Sri Johan. Looking back, it was the best decision I have made as Sri Johan offers an easy but tactical approach to learning. Their curriculum enables the children to achieve their full potential. All the teachers there are trained to ensure that the students get the best that education has to offer. The great thing is, Sri Johan also instills qualities that are essential such as responsibility, collaboration, communication, interaction, to name a few.

Every year, they have a concert in which the whole school takes part in. This provides the opportunity for the children to boost their confidence level. It was really fun to watch my daughter dance along to the upbeat music!

When Carr Mern first started with Sri Johan, she was very shy as it was something new to her. However, within a short span of time, she was already accustomed to the school environment and made many friends. I will not hesitate to recommend Sri Johan to any parents.

Eve:

Sri Johan School is a truly special place. The children are happy and I have seen my child grow emotionally, physically and educationally over the years. The staff there are very friendly and caring; and the classrooms and all other facilities are bright, clean and very well maintained. My child wants to go to school each day and enjoys staying for daycare too.

Evelyn:

Fungates is different from the normal Montessori system. It emphasizes character building and development as well as social interaction apart from the normal early childhood education.

We were very happy with Ashlynn’s development throughout the two years, Year 5 and year 6 when she was with Sri Johan. We saw in her a keen desire and joy to learn, a right attitude to accomplish every piece of work with the spirit of excellence, active participation in classroom activities, the ability to socialize with others.

I recalled the “Star” award which encouraged the children to behave and practice good habits in school as well as at home. This spurred the children to do so naturally as opposed to the traditional way of “carrot and stick” method which most of us experienced during our time. Over time it inculcated a set of good habits even without the “Stars”.

I thank teacher Florence and teacher Jowern who were Ashlynn year 5 and year 6 teachers. They had put in their heart and soul as well as love and patience in nurturing the children. The children have been well nurtured academically, socially and spiritually with great emphasis towards shaping their character.
